Jonathan Bovee is in his third season as the co-head diving coach for the swimming & diving team in the 2024-25 academic year.

Bovee serves alongside Tracy Torgerson as the team's co-head diving coaches. Torgerson is in her sixth season working with the Gusties, joining the staff one year after Bovee's graduation, and is a nationally renowned collegiate diving coach. 

Bovee joined the Gustavus staff in 2022 after a decorated diving career for the Gusties. The 2019 graduate won a MIAC Championship with the Gusties in the 2018-19 season as an athlete and has since helped the team to titles in 2023 (men) and 2024 (men and women). Head coach Jon Carlson credited Bovee and Torerson for much of the 2024 championship success for the Gusties, as three female divers posted NCAA B qualifying scores on the three-meter to help the women to their first championship since 2015.

A financial economics graduate, Bovee competed at the NCAA Region I Diving Championships in his senior year, taking 10th on the three-meter and 13th on the one-meter. He was also a MIAC All-Conference selection in the 2018-19 season. Bovee served as one of the team's captains in his senior season.

In addition to his role at Gustavus, Bovee, a native of Farmington, Minn., serves as the diving coach at Bloomington Kennedy High School.
