BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Geneva Fackler (Fy., Plymouth, Minn.) was named the MIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Fackler had an impressive weekend in the first home meet of her career for the Gustie women's swimming & diving team, contributing two of the team's three first-place wins, as well as a pair of fourth-place finishes as a part of the Gustie relay teams.

She touched the wall first in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.56, while also posting the best time in the 500 free with a 5:19.46. In the 200 medley, the Gusties finished in 1:50.68, while the 400 free relay also took fourth with a time of 3:42.76. Fackler's performance helped the team defeat UW-Stevens Point 233-80. Both her 200 and 500 free times rank first in the MIAC, while the two relay times are also conference-leading.

This is the first MIAC weekly honor for Fackler's young career, and the second consecutive award for the women's swimming & diving team, as diver Gabriella Stoudt (Jr., Maple Grove, Minn.) received the award last week.

The Gusties are back at home Saturday, hosting St. Olaf at Vic Gustafson Pool for an 11 a.m. dual meet.
