BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Peyton Richardson (5th, Crystal Lake, Ill.) was named the MIAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for the third time in four weeks on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Richardson led the Gusties to a win at the annual Grace Goblirsch Invite, collecting three individual victories and finishing second in two other races. Richardson won the 200 freestyle in 1:45.40, the 200 backstroke in 1:57.99, and the 100 butterfly in 50.87.

He was also a part of the second-place Gustie 400 freestyle relay that finished in 3:11.96. He took second individually for the first time all year on Saturday, finishing the 400 IM in 4:20.55. The Gustie men won the meet with a total score of 1457, over double that of the second-place Johnnies (727), remaining unbeaten on the season through one invite and four dual meets.

His 100 butterfly time on Saturday is the top mark in the conference. Richardson also owns the top times in the 50 fly (23.85), 200 fly (1:47.17), and 200 IM (1:58.82).

This is Richardson's third Athlete of the Week selection this season, and fourth for the Gusties, who have claimed every men's swim weekly award in the month of November. Richardson has won the award now seven times in his career. His three this season are the most in one season in his career.

The Gusties are back in action on Dec. 6 at the Macalester Invite in St. Paul, which will feature fellow MIAC teams from the host Scots, Hamline, and St. Olaf.
