MINNEAPOLIS – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer team battled the Edgewood University Eagles in the first round of the NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Championship at Edor Nelson Field. The Gusties fell 3-0 to the Eagles in the national tournament game.
Edgewood struck first in the 21
st minute with a goal by Christian Torres-Gale, scoring to go up 1-0.
The Eagles doubled their lead eight minutes later with a goal by Liam Moreira.
Gabe Voung scored a third goal for Edgewood in the 84
th minute as they fended off Gustavus' attack.
The Gusties took 11 shots in the game to the Eagles' 18. Gustavus had four shots on goal while Edgewood had six.
Jack Isroff led the Gusties with two shots on goal.
Gustavus closes their 2025 season with a 14-6-1 overall record, going 6-3-1 in conference matches.
