COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The men's cross country team wrapped up their invitational meet schedule on Friday, November 7th, running at the Saint John's Fall Finale. The team finished second overall, only behind the hosts Saint John's.
Ray Anderson (Fy., Edina, Minn.) led the way for Gustavus, running a time of 28:31 to finish in third place across Division III competitors. This time is second behind a time of 28:28 at the Augustana Interregional Invitational, which was the fastest of the season for the first-year.
Matt Trzynka (So., Maple Grove, Minn.) finished second for the Gusties individually with a time of 29:06, good for eighth place. The time is his third best of the season, behind 28:58.2 and 28:58.7 performances set at the Dan Huston Invite and Augustana Interregional Invitational, respectively.

Colin Talle (Fy., Mankato, Minn.) with a time of 29:14, placing tenth to score for the Gusties. Junior
Luke Jenneke (Maple Grove, Minn.) was next up, finishing fourth for the team and scoring with a time of 29:27 in the 8k race.
Neal Stadsvold (Fy., Sauk Centre, Minn.) was fifth for the Gusties with a time of 29:33,
Logan Jandro (Fy., Minnetrista, Minn.) scored as 14th with a time of 20:03, and
Owen Schramm (Fy., Eugene, Ore.) rounded out the scorers with a time of 31:41.
The Gusties finished up scoring with a total score of 44, finishing in the middle of the pack, behind Saint John's (18) but ahead of Concordia-Moorhead (80) to round out the invite season.
Next Saturday, November 15th, the Gusties will compete at the NCAA North Regional Championships in Colfax, Wisconsin, with aspirations to qualify for the NCAA Championships on November 22nd in Spartansburg, South Carolina.
