SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's swimming & diving team competed against Hamline University on Saturday, defeating the Pipers 731-359.
Declan Vahey won the 200 and 100 backstroke, placing first with times of 2:00.89 and 54.02.
Logan Cyr took the 500 and 100 freestyles in 5:00.23 and 49.52.
Ben Kell led the field in the 200 freestyle, placing first with a time of 1:49.97.
Teddy Solensky won the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.27.
Braden Ripken won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:17.91.
Aiden Carlson placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.60.
Aiden Shermak took first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:06.55. Vahey led the field in the 100 butterfly, winning the race with a time of 54.18.
Kell finished in first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.99.
The Gusties won the 200 medley relay (1:37.17) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.21).
Up next for the Gusties is a road trip to Decorah, Iowa as they compete in the Luther Invite on Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22.
