SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer team faced the College of St. Scholastica Saints at home on Saturday afternoon in a conference contest. The Gusties scored six goals in an emphatic 6-1 victory over the Saints.
Kieran Mahan scored the first two goals of the game for Gustavus in the opening 10 minutes.
Joe Flory added two more goals for the Gusties early to put Gustavus up 4-0 in just the 19th minute.
St. Scholastica broke the shutout in the 52
nd minute to get on the board, but the Gusties went on to add another two goals.
Reid Wolf scored in the 62
nd and
Joe Morri added one more in the 75
th minute to secure the 6-1 win.
Up next for the Gusties is a road trip to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on Nebraska Wesleyan University on Monday, September 22 at 4:00 p.m.
