NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Gustavus Adolphus College women's swimming and diving team competed against the Carleton College Knights on Friday night, winning 159-140.
Annika Beck won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:01.58 and
Emmi Heers was the runner-up at 11:23.66. Beck also won the 500 freestyle, winning with a time of 5:24.05 while
Teresa Gatti followed right after in second at 5:31.10.
Stella Anderson Moye had the top finish in the 200 freestyle for the Gusties, finishing as the runner-up at 2:01.07.
Caitlyn Otto took second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.45.
Leah Felton was the runner-up in the 50 freestyle, leading Gustavus at 25.32.
Katelyn Siers placed first in the 100 backstroke, winning the race in 1:00.01.
Geneva Fackler led the Gusties in the 200 backstroke with a third-place finish at 2:17.81.
Lindsay Sundby led Gustavus in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.56 to finish third.
Sommer Krause's 2:36.87 time in the 200 breaststroke led the Gusties for a third-place finish.
Madison Witte won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.81 and Beck followed in second at 2:21.76. Witte also won the 100 butterfly, finishing in 1:02.30.
Krause placed second in the 200 IM, leading Gustavus with a time of 2:20.14.
Gabriella Stoudt took second in the 3-meter and 1-meter dives, scoring 232.60 and 222.10 respectively.
The Gusties won the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.72) and placed second in the 200 medley relay (1:51.32).
Up next for the Gusties is a return to Saint Peter for their Senior Day meet against Saint Ben's on Saturday, January 17 with the diving events starting at 9:00 a.m. and the swimming events following at 1:00 p.m.
