DECORAH, Iowa - The Gustavus Adolphus College men's swimming and diving team split their squad to participate in two events on Saturday as they battled the Luther College Norse in a dual and competed in the MIAC/WIAC Invite. The Gusties won 129-98 over the Norse and finished 5^th of 10 teams at the co-conference invitational.
 
Luther Dual
 
Keegan Jones placed first in the 50 freestyle (22.47) and second in the 100 freestyle (49.63). Charlie Newton won the 200 freestyle (1:52.11). Hayden Kulas finished as the runner-up in the 1000 freestyle (10.49.79). Logan Cyr placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:09.42).
 
Aidynn Havermann won both the 100 backstroke (54.55) and the 200 IM (1:59.83).
 
Mason Cote placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.25).
 
Britton Patee took second in the 100 butterfly (54.35).
 
The Gusties won the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.63) and the 200 medley relay (1:38.63).
 
MIAC/WIAC Invite
 
Josh Wallin finished 3^rd of 29 in the 100 backstroke (53.24).
 
Elliot Bartell placed 4^th of 50 in the 100 butterfly (51.03) and 4^th of 23 in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.14).

Mason Krings took 4^th of 31 in the 100 breaststroke (58.68).

Ben Kell placed 5^th of 25 in the 100 IM (4:25.13) and 6^th of 48 in the 200 freestyle (1:47.30).
 
Teddy Solensky finished 8^th of 63 in the 50 freestyle (21.80).
 
Jack Reilly placed 10^th of 22 in the 200 backstroke (2:08.04).
 
Michael Shannon took 16^th of 30 in the 200 IM (2:10.75) and 23^rd of 32 in the 500 freestyle (5:29.01).
 
Jonah Ohrtman finished 16^th of 22 in the 200 butterfly (2:14.88).

Alexander Hultman placed 52^nd of 66 in the 100 freestyle (56.10).
 
The Gusties finished as the runner-up in the 200 medley relay (1:37.05), placing 2^nd of 14. Gustavus also took 3^rd of 12 In the 400 IM relay (4:48.57) and 4^th of 13 in the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.86).
 
In the mixed 8x100 freestyle relay, the Gusties placed 4^th of 11 (7:03.10).
