ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 19 nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team battled the No. 17 Kenyon College Owls in Orlando on Saturday, March 7. The Gusties fell 4-1 to the Owls, moving to 10-5 overall this year.
Molly Austin and
Lanie Davis started the day with 6-2 win at #2 doubles for Gustavus, but Kenyon went on to win the remaining two doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
The Owls went up 2-0 with a win at #2 singles, but Davis put the Gusties on the board with a 6-2, 6-1 win at #6 singles. Kenyon went on to win #1 and #5 singles to secure the 4-1 match victory.
Up next for the Gusties is a return home to Minnesota to prepare for their conference opener at home on Saturday, March 14 against the Concordia College Cobbers.
