SAINT PETER, Minn. - After finishing tied for second place at the Saint John's Spring Invitational, Gustavus men's golf first-year Charlie Looker has been named the MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week.

Charlie Looker (Cottage Grove, Minn.) shot -4 (139) across two rounds during the invitational, shooting a 67 at the par-71 Monticello Country Club on Sunday after an even-par round on Saturday at the par-72 Wapicada Golf Club. Looker had five birdies on Sunday and just one bogey to catapult eight spots up the leaderboard and finish second, where he earned true second place honors by having a lower score on the final round. The 67 is the third lowest score this season by any Gustie and the lowest of the spring season. 

Looker and the rest of the Gustavus golf team are competing again today, hosting the Gustie Triangular at Le Sueur Country Club.
