Four Gusties Win CSC Women’s Swimming & Diving Academic All-District Awards

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's swim & dive team had four student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District awards, the organization formerly known as CoSIDA announced on Tuesday. Katelyn Siers, Geneva Fackler, Lindsay Sundby, and Gabriella Stoudt all earned Academic All-District honors for the Gusties.

CSC Swimming & Diving Academic All-District award winners must have a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Student-athletes must also do at least one of the following: compete in 75 percent of competitions, finish top-eight at a conference meet, or participate in a national championship.

Siers is an undeclared major with a 3.877 GPA. The sophomore led the Gusties with five All-Conference awards at the MIAC Championship this season, winning the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:31.34), finishing as the runner-up in the 100 Backstroke (56.63) and 200 Freestyle Relay (1:35.84), and placing third in the 50 Freestyle (24.09) and 200 Backstroke (2:05.99). She also earned an Honorable Mention in the 200 Medley Relay (1:46.37), placing fourth.

Fackler is a Biochem and Molecular Biology / Japanese Studies double major with a 3.877 GPA. The sophomore earned three All-Conference awards, winning the 800 Freestyle Relay (7:43.68) and placing second in both the 200 Freestyle (1:55.05) and the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:35.84). She was also an Honorable Mention in three events, taking fourth in both the 200 Backstroke (2:06.43) and the 400 Medley Relay (3:55.82) while placing fifth in the 100 Backstroke (57.61).

Sundby is an individualized major with a 4.000 GPA. The senior earned two Honorable Mention awards this year, finishing fourth in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:46.37) and the 400 Medley Relay (3:55.82).

Stoudt is a Biochem and Molecular Biology major with a 3.967 GPA. The senior competed in the NCAA Diving Regionals this season in both the 1-meter (355.65) and 3-meter (343.80) dives against the top divers in the region.
