FARMINGTON, Minn. – Jackson Baker of the Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Baker held a shutout against No. 20 Saint John's on Saturday, keeping the top scoring offense in the country without a goal for the first time this season. The junior made seven saves in the win and dealt the Johnnies their first loss of the season. Baker picked up his second shutout of the season over a 2025 NCAA Tournament team to rank 65th in the conference and is averaging 4.2 saves per game.
The Gusties have a quick turnaround as they take on UW-Stevens Point at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Gustie Soccer Field.
