GUSTIE DRILLS
If you are a 7th-12th grade boy or girls on your school tennis team, come join in the fun! Each drill goes for 2 hours each Sunday of a 6 week session. There will be three different levels of drills to sign up for. We will have an "Elite" Drill Session that will be held from 11am-1pm, a "Varsity" Drill Session that will be held from 1pm-3pm, and a "JV" Drill Session held from 3pm-5pm. Gustie Drills will be led by Avery Stillwell, current MSU-Mankato Head Women's Tennis Coach. Helping Avery with Drills are members of the current Gustavus Women's and Men's team. Gustie Drills are a great way to hit with athletes from other teams around the area, and a great way to learn strokes and strategies with some of the top collegiate players in the region.
With the academic calendar changing at Gustavus, there will not be January Matchplay, so matchplay will be included in some weeks of drills.
EACH DRILL SESSION IS ON A SUNDAY, TIME IS BASED ON WHAT LEVEL YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR.
Session I (6 weeks): 10/26/25 - 12/7/25 (no Drills on Thanksgiving Sunday, Nov. 30)
Session 2 (6 weeks): 1/11/25 - 2/15/25 (6 straight weeks)
Elite Drills 11am-1pm: This is for older kids that have played on the varsity for at least two years prior to this fall and are thinking of playing in college. There will be more strategy and match play involved.
Cost: $225 for a session.
Varsity Drills 1pm-3pm: This is for varsity players, and at least in 9th grade. There will be a lot of drilling and some sustained point play.
Cost: $225 for a session.
JV Drills 3pm-5pm: This is for the younger, Jr. high players (6th-8th grade). There will be mostly drilling and stroke technique. A lot of ball-fed drilling, and ball machine work.
Cost: $225 for a session.

Private/Group Lessons:
Our private lesson costs are $50 per lesson/hour
$55 with a professional with at least 3 years experience
LESSON TIME AVAILABILITY IS: SUNDAY'S 5-9PM; MON-THURS 8AM-2PM/7-9PM; FRIDAY'S 8AM-2PM
Our lessons typically run by sessions:
FALL (10 weeks): 10/5-12/13, 2025
WINTER (10 weeks): 1/11-3/28/26 (closed for Spring Break 2/28-3/7)
Spring (6 weeks): 3/29-5/9, 2026
Payments for each session can be made in full on the first night. If you have to cancel due to anything other than weather-related issues, you will be charged for that lesson. If an instructor cancels less than 24 hours in advance, you may come in and play on that court for no charge, and the lesson will try to be made up during that week.
We also offer group lessons and semi-private lessons. Group lessons need a minimum of 4 players. Group lessons with 4 or more players run $20 per lesson/hour each. Semi-private (2 players) run half of the private lesson cost for each player.
