Sarah Wolter is in her second season as a member of the Gustavus Golf coaching staff in the 2024-25 academic year. 

Last season, Wolter helped the Gustie women to a sixth place finish at the MIAC championships and the men a fourth place finish.

Two Gustie men earned All-Conference honors (Teddy Kaste and Chris Gutuza), while Annika Reierson was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in her senior season. The Gustie women took first at the UW-Eau Claire Georgianni Invite and third at the DIII Classic in the fall. In the spring, the women took second at their home invite and third at Bethel's Rumble at the Ridge. The men took second at the Minnesota Classic and third at the prestigious Williams Invitational in the fall. 

Wolter, a 2002 graduate of Gustavus, is also a professor in the Gustavus Communications Department, teaching a variety of courses in Communication Studies, particularly in the subject area of Critical Media Studies.

Wolter was a member of the Gustavus golf team while a student, competing from 1998-2002. She compiled three top-10 finishes in her career with an average of 91.0 in 42 rounds played. 

Wolter graduated from Gustavus in 2002 with her degree in Honors Communication Studies. She returned in 2005 for four years as a visiting professor. After graduating with her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, Wolter returned to her alma mater as a visiting assistant professor in 2012. 

A native of Red Wing, Minn., Wolter currently resides in Northfield with her partner Blake Kane '02 and their two children.
