Women’s Soccer Falls to Carleton 1-0

The Gustavus women's soccer team lost 1-0 to Carleton College on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. Gustavus drops to 0-5-0 in the MIAC and 1-6-1 overall, while Carleton improves to 4-1-0 in the MIAC and 4-4-0 overall.

Dylan Welch scored the winning goal for Carleton in the 33rd minute of the match. Lisa Driscoll hit a free kick that hit off the crossbar and Welch finished the shot off for the Knights. Gustavus pressured Carleton in the second half but were unable to manufacture a goal. The Knights held a 6-5 shot advantage in the second half but the Gusties held a 7-6 corner kick advantage.

Gustavus will travel to Decorah, Iowa tomorrow to play Luther College. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm.
