The Gustavus men's basketball team opens its 2004-05 season against Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 3:00 pm. You can listen to the game, which will be broadcast by KRBI Radio, on the internet.

The Gusties will be looking to rebound from a surprise 59-55 loss to the Norse last year in St. Peter. Coach Mark Hanson returns two starters from last year's squad that posted a mark of 22-6 and won the MIAC championship. Those returning starters include senior Tim Brown whose status this season is uncertain due to a serious ankle injury and sophomore post Phil Sowden. The Gusties do return several other talented players, however including senior wing Doug Espenson, junior wing Adam TeBrake and senior post John Wippler.

Newcomers expected to contribute include sophomore wing Andrew Olson, sophomore post Jay Stein, junior wing Trent Hollerich, sophomore point guard Derek Dreifke and freshman wing Trevor Wittwer.
