SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Gustavus scored with less than nine minutes remaining in Saturday's MIAC women's soccer match at Hamline, defeating the Pipers 2-1. The Gusties improve to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the MIAC.
Hamline took an early 1-0 lead in the first nine minutes of the match before
Gabriela Rodriguez (Waseca, Minn.) netted the equalizer at the 30:31 mark for her third goal of the season. The score remained 1-1 at half.

Ellen Becken (Prior Lake, Minn.) found
Kaitlyn Brandt (Blaine, Minn.) for what proved to be the game-winning goal, which was the first of her career.
Katelyn Olson (Cloquet, Minn.) earned the win in goal, making four saves as th Gusties outshot the Pipers 10-9.
Gustavus continues MIAC play Wednesday afternoon at home against Saint Mary's.
