BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Kasie Tweet (5th, Adrian) was named the MIAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week on Monday, Oct. 21. 

Tweet led the Gustavus volleyball team to three sweeps last week, directing the offense with 113 total assists (37.6/match) and chipping in a pair of double-doubles with more than 10 digs on defense. She added five kills, three aces, and three blocks to her stat line through the week, hitting .500 on the attack.

Tweet posted 40 assists against Concordia to start the week, as well as 10 digs for the MIAC win. Against UW-River Falls on Saturday, Tweet added 32 more assists, 11 digs, and three service aces. In the team's final match of the week, Tweet once again eclipsed 40 assists for the ninth time this season, getting 41 against Luther to lead an extremely efficient Gustavus offense. This is Tweet's second MIAC weekly honor of the season, and marks the third week in a row that the Specialist of the Week has been a Gustie, following Maren Sundberg (Jr., Eagan) and Macie Malchow (Fy., Sioux Falls, S.D.).

The Gusties have five MIAC contests remaining in their regular season schedule, hosting St. Olaf (15-6, 3-3 MIAC) Friday before traveling to Saint Benedict (7-10, 3-2 MIAC) on Saturday.
