Adam Biewen has been selected MIAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Biewen played a key role in Gustavus winning two games to remain undefeated in the MIAC. On Wednesday at Hamline, Biewen was tasked with defending the Pipers' top scorer in Bradley Cimperman and held him to 10 points on 3-of-14 shooting. Biewen collected four rebounds and a steal against the Pipers. On Saturday against Concordia, Biewen was tasked with defending one of the Cobbers' top scorers in Rowan Nelson and held him to seven points on 2-of-11 shooting. Biewen had five rebounds and a steal. During the week, Biewen's matchups shot a collective 5-for-25 while the Gusties limited their opponents to 34.8 percent shooting.
