SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College football team hosted the College of St. Scholastica Saints on Saturday at Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties defeated the Saints 45-6 with quarterback

Jordan Wold for a 15-yard touchdown pass. The Saints strung together a 12-play drive into Gusties territory near the close of the opening quarter, but
Bode Hogan put an end to that with an interception at the Gustavus 29-yard line.
In the second quarter,
Dom Mathies capped off an 11-play, 80-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown reception from Blount to put the Gusties up 17-0.
Colton Loeschke picked off the Saints on their first play of the following drive, setting up a quick four-play drive that ended with another Gustavus touchdown as Blount connected with
Caden Kleinschmidt from two-yards out to put the Gusties up 24-0 at the half.
Gustavus put the game out of reach in the third quarter, scoring 21 points. Blount first found Kleinschmidt again for an 18-yard touchdown to put the Gusties up 31-0. After Gustavus forced another three-and-out, Blount capped off another touchdown drive with a four-yard pass to
Liam Frommelt in the endzone. The Gusties scored for a third time in the quarter with a 10-play drive, 80-yard drive culminating in a seven-yard touchdown pass from Blount to Wold to put Gustavus up 45-0.
The Saints scored their lone touchdown of the day on a pick six in the closing seconds of the third quarter, but the Gusties' defense shut them out in the fourth as Gustavus secured the 45-6 win.
