ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's cross country team competed in the Augustana Interregional Invitational hosted by Augustana College on Saturday. The Gusties finished eighth in the 8k out of the field of 32 teams at the invite.
 
Nick Brauer led Gustavus at the invite, placing 14th overall out of the field of 440 runners with a time of 26:08.3.
 
Evan Pouliot and Will Janzen followed, crossing the finish line within 0.2 seconds of each other at 26:59.9 and 27:00.1 to place 50^th and 51^st overall.
 
Soren Sackreiter placed 86^th overall with a time of 27:25.3.
 
Matthew Berge had the fifth time for Gustavus at 27.47.5, placing 121^st overall.
 
Up next for the Gusties is the MIAC Championship on Saturday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland 9 Cross Country Trailhead in St. Paul.
