BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer team had six athletes earn Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Awards for the 2025 season, the conference announced on Monday.
Kieran Mahan was named MIAC Rookie of the Year, All-Conference, and All-Playoff. The first year scored 12 goals and notched six assists for 30 total points this fall. Mahan scored three game-winners and had a .578 shot on goal percentage.
Joe Flory was named to the MIAC All-Conference team. The junior led the conference with seven game-winning goals and scored 14 total goals this fall. He also had six assists, 34 points, and a .714 shot on goal percentage.
Cal Avery was named to the MIAC Honorable Mention list. The sophomore defender was key to the Gustie's defense allowing just 14 goals this fall while holding opponents scoreless in eight matches.
Spencer Skjeldestad was named to the MIAC Honorable Mention list. The senior defender helped lead the Gustavus defensive front and started 17 games for the Gusties, recording one assist this fall.
Ryder Tomlinson was named to the MIAC Honorable Mention list. The junior scored three goals and had three assists for nine total points this fall. He also had a .481 shot on goal percentage.
Will Clark was named to the MIAC All-Playoff team. The first year was key to the Gusties' conference postseason run to the semifinals.
Up next for Gustavus men's soccer is the NCAA Tournament. The Gusties opened the national tournament at the Augsburg Regional, where they will battle the Edgewood University Eagles on Saturday, September 15 at 1:30 p.m.
