WINONA, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women's soccer team battled the Saint Mary's University Cardinals on the road Saturday afternoon in a conference contest. The two teams battled to a scoreless tie in the final game of the season for the Gusties.
Gustavus entered the game with the chance to secure the No. 6 seed in the MIAC Playoffs with a win, while Saint Mary's could have had either a win or a tie to secure the final playoff berth. With the tie, the Gusties fell out of playoff contention.
The Cardinals outshot Gustavus 19-8 in the game.
Cambelle Waldspurger led the Gusties with three total shots and two on goal.
Katelyn Olson saved all 11 of Saint Mary's shots on goal for Gustavus.
The Gusties close their 2025 campaign with an overall record of 7-6-5 and a 4-5-2 record in the MIAC.
