DECORAH, Iowa - The Gustavus Adolphus College women's swimming & diving team competed in the Luther Invitational this weekend. The Gusties placed first out of the field of eight teams with 1,042 points. Macalester was the runner-up with 655 points and Luther followed in third with 577.
 
Annika Beck won the 1650 freestyle (17:58.12) and the 500 freestyle (5:17.20) and placed second in the 400 IM (4:45.86). Leah Felton was the runner-up in both the 100 freestyle (53.56) and the 50 freestyle (24.58).
 
Katelyn Siers took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.02. She also placed third in the 100 IM at 1:03.09.
 
Geneva Fackler won the 200 backstroke (2:08.64) and was the runner-up in the 200 freestyle (1:57.83).
 
Madison Witte finished second in the 200 butterfly (2:13.93), second in the 100 butterfly (59.64), and fourth in the 200 IM (2:14.48), leading the Gusties in the events.
 
Hadley Wartner took third in the 200 breaststroke at 2:30.03.
 
The Gusties placed first in the 400 freestyle relay (3:34.24) and 200 medley relay (1:48.57), second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.43), and third in the 400 medley relay (4:03.23).
