GREENWOOD, Ind. – Joe Flory of the Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer team has been named a 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-American. Selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) and announced on Tuesday, the award is reserved for college student athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom.
Flory was named to the Academic All-America Third Team for Division III. The junior forward led the MIAC with seven game-winning goals and scored 14 total goals this fall. He also had six assists, 34 points, and a .698 shot on goal percentage. Flory also excells in the classroom as he pursues his degree in Financial Economics with a 3.94 cumulative GPA.
The award is one of many Flory has earned this year. The junior has additionally been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team and to the MIAC All-Conference Team.
CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, began the distinguished Academic All-America program in 1952. It is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges, and Canadian institutions.
Gustavus finished their 2025 season in the NCAA Tournament with a 14-6-1 overall record this fall, going 6-3-1 in conference matches.
