NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Three Gusties competed in day one of the MIAC Multi Event Championships on Thursday at Carleton College.

In the men's decathlon,
Connor McCormick sits in 11th place with 2938 points. McCormick took 11th in the 100-meter (11.86), seventh in the 400-meter (52.98), fourth in the high jump (1.71 meters), fifth in the long jump (6.00 meters), and 12th in the shot put (9.21 meters).
In the women's heptathlon,
Maddox Lee is in eighth place with 2178 points and
Grace Banse is in 17th place with 1808 points. In the 200-meter, Lee took 14th (28.42) and Banse took 17th (29.54). In the 100-hurdles, Lee finished eighth (17.12) and Banse 15th (19.27). In the high jump, Lee took sixth (1.44 meters) and Bense 18th (1.26 meters). And in the shot put, Banse took second (10.44 meters) and Lee 12th 8.66 meters).
The multi events conclude tomorrow.
