SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's cross country team opened their season on Friday with a four-mile run at the Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls. The Gusties placed 10^th out of the field of 25 teams, which included numerous DII Teams.
 
Nick Brauer led Gustavus with a time of 19:38.04, placing 30^th overall out of the field of 394 runners.
 
Evan Pouliot followed with a top-100 finish, placing 93^rd with a time of 20:26.16.
 
Soren Sackreiter (20:34.72), Will Janzen (20:40.01), and Caden Riga (21:19.35) rounded out the top-five finishers for the Gusties, placing 106^th, 115^th, and 183^rd overall.
 
Up next for the Gusties is a trip up to St. Paul on Friday, September 12 for the Hamline Invite.
