STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Gustavus Adolphus College women's swimming and diving team competed in day one of the Point Invite on Friday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers. After the opening day, the Gusties stand in second place a score of 513. UW-La Cross leads the meet with 676 points while UW-Stevens Point is third with 295.
 
Annika Beck won the 500 freestyle, leading the way with a time of 5:14.63. Leah Felton swam the 100 freestyle in 55.08 to finish as the runner-up.
 
Katelyn Siers was the runner-up in the 100 backstroke, swimming the event in 1:02.41.
 
Madison Witte led the Gusties in the 200 butterfly, placing second by 0.26 seconds with a time of 2:14.70.
 
Gustavus placed third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.40) and fourth in the 400 medley relay (4:12.45).
 
Gabriella Stoudt had the top score for Gustavus in the 1-meter dive, earning a 373.05 to place third overall.
 
Hadley Wartner led the Gusties with a fourth-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:38.75.
 
Stella Anderson Moye led Gustavus in the 200 IM, placing fifth with a time of 2:19.22.
 
Up next for the Gusties is the second and final day of the Point Invite on Saturday, January 24 starting in the morning at 10:00 a.m.
