FARMINGTON, Minn. – Sahara Morken of the Gustavus Adolphus College volleyball team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Morken had 79 assists for an average of 9.88 assists per set for the Gusties as they went undefeated last weekend, improving to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC. The sophomore had 40 assists (10.00 aps) in a 4-1 win at Augsburg and then had another 39 assists (9.75 aps) in a 3-1 victory at Saint Mary's.
Up next for Gustavus is their home opener in Lund Center set for Wednesday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. against the St. Olaf College Oles.
