SAINT PETER, Minn. – The 2026 Give Like A Champion campaign concluded at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5 after a two-day campaign that sought to raise $450,000 for the Gustavus athletics department. The third annual campaign was a monumental success as 1,260 Gustie supporters donated an incredible $558,614 to shatter the fundraising goal by 124% and set a new record for the athletics department.
"On behalf of our student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and administrators, we cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support these past two days," said Gustavus Athletic Director Tom Brown. "Our goal was to raise $450,000 and with your help and support we've met that and even exceeded half a million dollars; that's absolutely amazing."
The record $558,614 raised this year eclipses the previous record mark of $442,205 set in last year's campaign, which in turn had exceeded the inaugural year's total of $427,333 in 2024.
Through three campaigns, Give Like A Champion has raised $1,428,152 in support for the Gustavus athletics department.
14 programs exceeded their fundraising goals in this year's campaign. Men's hockey led the way with $76,486 raised to support their team, followed by football ($59,161) and baseball ($50,225). Swim & dive had the most donors with 162, followed by football (124) and women's soccer (117).
