BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Connor Esposito of the Gustavus Adolphus College baseball team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Esposito finished out both games on Monday against St. Olaf, earning a save and a win in the same doubleheader. In the first game, the sophomore was brought in for relief in extra innings and only needed six pitches to retire the side and win the first game for the Gusties. In the second game, a tightly-contested 5-4 win, Esposito was used for three innings. He conceded only one hit and lowered his season ERA to 1.08 to help the Gusties win the second game and take a sweep over the Oles.
Gustavus is currently scheduled to continue their MIAC slate on Tuesday, April 7 at 2:30 p.m. against Macalester.
