Szalay, Lambert, Anstine Named MIAC Elite 22 Award Winners

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced their Elite 22 honorees for the spring season on Tuesday with three Gusties being recognized. Allison Szalay, Lauren Lambert, Jade Anstine earned the awards for their respective sports, leading all other student-athletes in their sport across the conference.
 
The MIAC Elite 22 Award is presented to the student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average who participated in the MIAC Playoffs for team sports or earned All-Conference for individual sports. Each winner must be a junior or senior and in at least their second full academic year at their current institution.
 
Szalay was named the Elite 22 award winner for women's tennis. The senior is a Chemistry and Physics double major and led the MIAC postseason athletes with a 4.00 GPA. Szalay went 20-6 overall in doubles with an 18-5 (7-0 MIAC) record in duals, going 15-4 (6-0 MIAC) at #3 doubles.
 
Lambert was named the Elite 22 award winner for softball. The senior led the MIAC playoff athletes with a 4.00 GPA. Lambert led Gustavus with a .383 batting average and .483 on-base percentage to go along with a .433 slugging percentage for the second-best OPS on the team at .916.
 
Anstine was named the Elite 22 award winner for men's outdoor track & field. The junior led the MIAC with a 4.00 GPA as a nursing major. Anstine led the Gusties in MIAC awards this spring, garnering two All-Conference honors (100m,100m Relay) and one Honorable Mention honor (200m).
 
With these three awards this spring, Gustavus totaled six Elite 22 award winners for the 2025-26 academic year. In the fall, Blake Forest won for men's golf. In the winter, Isaac Dearborn earned the award for men's basketball and Anstine was named the winner for men's indoor track & field.
