NEW ORLEANS, La. - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their All-Academic Teams and Individuals on Monday, July 21st and Gustavus was represented on all possible lists. 

Head Coach Aaron Lund (7th season) pushed both teams to earn the team honor, needing higher than a 3.1 GPA team average. The men's track & field team boasted a 3.44 GPA while the women's program kept a 3.71 GPA. The mark for the women is the second in the MIAC, just 0.03 behind St. Catherine and is 16th in the country overall. 

Individually, six Gusties earned the award, one for the men's team and five for the women's. The criteria changes for individuals, whereas a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet athletic criteria of either a top-50 mark in an individual event on TFRRS, compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor or Outdoor Track & Field Championships, or competed as a member of a top-35 relay team as listed on TFRRS. 

Junior nursing major Jade Anstine (Sioux Falls, S.D.) was the lone male who made the list, clocking in a 10.47 time in the 100-meter at the Gary Wilson Invitational for 29th this season across Division III. For the five women who made the list, senior nursing major Molly Liston (Richfield, Minn.) earned her top-50 mark twice, first in the indoor 5,000-meter at the Chuck Peterson Open with a time of 17:03.24 to earn the 28th best mark and then outdoors as well in the 10,000-meter where she clocked the 19th best time and qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The other four qualifiers for the women were all in field events, starting with junior exercise physiology major Olivia Duncan (Savage, Minn.) who qualified through a 37th-best mark in the discus, a 43.77 meter heave at the Todd Pfingsten Open. Undecided first-year Kaylee Hawks (Prior Lake, Minn.) earned the award with a 11.65-meter triple jump at the UW-La Crosse NCAA Outdoor Final Qualifier that ranked her 34th in the country. Sophomore nursing major Kayla Kajer (Lake Elmo, Minn.) had the 33rd-best high jump in the country this season at the Ole Open, eclipsing 1.65 meters. Sophomore computer science major Bella Sutch (Blaine, Minn.) was the final honoree with 27th-best, 13.52 meter heave in the shot put at the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. 

Both the men's and women's track & field teams finished fourth at the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and sent three individuals to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where Liston and first-year Ava Loftness (Prior Lake, Minn.) earned All-America honors.
