LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 24 nationally ranked Gustavus Adolphus College volleyball team has been named a 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award winner and to the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced on Thursday.
 
The Gusties earned the Team Academic Award by maintaining a grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale this past academic year. The team made the Team Academic Honor Roll by having a GPA in the top 20% of NCAA Division III.
 
This is the 13^th AVCA Team Academic Award that Gustavus has won in program history. The Gusties first earned the award in 1996, then in back-to-back years in 2007 and 2008, and now have won it 10 years in a row dating back to 2017.
 
This past season, Gustavus went 24-8 overall with a 9-2 record in the MIAC to tie for second in the conference. The Gusties advanced to the NCAA Tournament as an at-large bid and won their opening round match against Edgewood, 3-1.
