Abby Leitch is in her third season as a member of the Gustavus volleyball coaching staff in the 2024-25 academic year. 

Leitch previously served as an assistant during the 2022 season and the 2018 seasons.

While Leitch was an assistant, the 2022 team won both the MIAC regular season and playoff titles, advancing to the NCAA tournament. The team fell to UW-Whitewater in the round of 32. 

In 2018, one season removed from her athletic career at Gustavus, Leitch helped the Gusties to the NCAA tournament, once again winning both MIAC titles. 

Leitch, a 2018 graduate of Gustavus, competed for the volleyball team from 2014-17. She was a member of the 2017 team that advanced to the NCAA Elite 8, collected one MIAC regular season title (2015), and won two MIAC Playoff Championships (2015, 2016).

While a student-athlete, Leitch was a star libero for the Gusties, totaling 1295 digs in her career. She ranks fifth in career digs in program history, and led the team from the serving line in 2016 with 41.

After graduating, Leitch served as an assistant in 2018 beofre moving onto the Mayo Clinic where she was a pharmacy technician for a year. She then attended the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, serving as a tutor and a teaching assistant while a student. She graduated with her Pharm.D. in 2023.

Leitch, a Mankato native, currently resides in Saint Peter.
