BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its women's soccer postseason awards Tuesday and Gustavus sophomore
Cambelle Waldspurger was named All-Conference.
For the second consecutive season, Walspurger paced the Gustie offense with 16 points (8th/MIAC) on five goals and six assists (5th/MIAC). Waldspurger, who earned MIAC honorable mention last season, took a team-high 45 shots with 31 on goal for a .698 percentage. Two of Waldspurger's goals were game-winners.
Annika Lewis and
Callie Patraw were named All-Conference honorable mention. Lewis tallied six points on two goals (one game-winner) and two assists, while Patraw had three points on a goal (game-winner) and an assist. Lewis, who also earned honorable mention last season, played the most for the Gusties, logging 1,490 minutes.
Ari Green of St. Catherine was named Offensive Player of the Year, Piper Dean of Carleton was named Defensive Player of the Year, Emily Johnson of St. Olaf was named Rookie of the Year, and Jessica Mueller of Carleton was named Coach of the Year.
