INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Gustavus women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss Sunday morning at Simpson, dropping to 1-1 overall.
Simpson struck first with a goal in the 10th minute and maintained a 1-0 lead through the first half. Two minutes into the second half,
Lillian Selberg scored her first goal of the season on a long shot over the keeper. But the Storm went back ahead in the 69th minute and added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute to secure the victory.
Simpson outshot the Gusties 9-5 as
Claire Hemstock (North Mankato, Minn.) made six saves.
The Gusties are back in action Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran.
