"It was a good meet up at Hamline. The atmosphere was fun and the swimmers swam great," said Head Coach Jon Carlson. "They're getting really excited for next weekend and the Gustie Challenge. All in all, it was a great day and I'm very excited for the rest of the season."

The Gustie divers took to the St. Cloud State Diving Invite Saturday afternoon, competing in the 11-dive competition hosted by the Huskies. Andrew Jensen led the Gustie men on the 3-meter board with a score of 369.30, while Ryan Lester finished first on the team on the 1-meter with a 360.05. For the Gustie women, MIAC Diver of the Week Emmalyn Dickerson posted a 362.65 on the 1-meter, while Gabriella Stoudt scored a 364.30 on the 3-meter to place first of all Division III competitors at the meet.

"We're really pleased with how the divers did up in St. Cloud. It gave them a chance to do an 11-dive meet instead of just the six we did at Hamline, and I know they've been working on new dives quite a bit in the last few weeks. It's been a pretty grueling couple of weeks, but this gave them the chance to throw their new dives into competition for the first time. We're really excited for them and their results, and we know they will continue to build next weekend at the Dodd Road Invite, another 11-dive meet."

The Gusties are back in action next Friday and Saturday as they host the Gustie Challenge in their final meet before the MIAC Championships.
