BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – For the second week in a row and the third time this season, Kasie Tweet (5th, Adrian) was named the MIAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday, Oct. 28.

Tweet collected 81 assists in two conference wins last week, averaging 11.6/set and 40.5/match. She extended her double-double count to 11 on the season, collecting 44 assists and 16 digs on Friday, followed by a 37-assist, 14-dig performance. On Saturday against Saint Benedict, she chipped in a pair of service aces as well. 

Tweet is averaging 10.6 assists per set this season, and is on pace to break Nora Holtan's '19 all-time career assist record this weekend if she continues her pace. This is Tweet's third weekly honor of the season (Sept. 2-9, Oct. 13-20), and fifth of her career. 

After defeating Saint Benedict on Saturday, the Gusties have three remaining MIAC matches in their schedule. The team plays Friday and Saturday, hosting Augsburg (14-10, 5-2 MIAC) first, followed by a trip to Bethel (17-6, 7-1 MIAC) on Saturday.
