BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – A pair of Gustavus women's soccer student-athletes earned 2024 MIAC All-Conference recognition on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Senior Ellen Becken (Prior Lake, Minn.) and junior Cambelle Waldspurger (Mahtomedi, Minn.) were selected to the All-MIAC team, while Callie Patraw (Sr., Elk River, Minn.) was named an Honorable Mention honoree.

Becken was named to the All-MIAC team for the first time in her career after leading the Gusties' scoring efforts all season. Playing in all 11 conference contests, Becken posted four goals and two assists for 10 points, a mark that ranked 10th on the MIAC leaderboard this season.

She added three goals and three assists in non-conference competition, finishing the season with 19 points, the most in any season of her career by a margin of 13. She scored at least a point in 10 of her 19 games this season, including a pair of three-point performances. Becken finished her career with nine goals and seven assists for 25 points in 68 games played.

Waldspurger has been featured on the last two MIAC awards lists, earning Honorable Mention honors as a first-year in 2022 and All-Conference distinction last season. The midfielder led the Gusties in scoring through her first two seasons and finished behind Becken this year with 16 points, playing and starting in all 19 of the Gusties' games.

In conference play, Waldspurger scored three goals – two of which were game-winners – and three assists for nine points. She totaled 35 shots against MIAC opponents, a mark that ranked eighth on the league leaderboard. With one season of eligibility remaining, Waldspurger ranks 11th in program history for career assists, with 13 through her first three seasons.

Patraw earned her second consecutive All-MIAC Honorable Mention honor, after receiving the award last season as well. In conference competition, she had a pair of goals and an assist for five points. Like Becken and Waldspurger, she played in all 19 of the Gusties' games, including 11 MIAC competitions. The midfielder concludes her career having played in 72 games with three goals and two assists for eight points.

The MIAC also announced its 2024 All-Playoff Team, which featured senior defender Brianna Monahan (Medina, Minn.). Monahan is the Gusties' first All-Playoff honoree, as the award was created in the 2022 season. The Gusties' go-to two-way defender, Monahan played 83 minutes in the team's playoff game at Saint Mary's, igniting many of the Gustavus attacking plays, as well as blocking a shot to keep the team in the game in the second half. She led all players on the team in minutes with 1,675 this season, also adding an assist and seven shots on goal.

Saint Mary's nearly swept all the major awards, as Lauryn Skoruppa was named the Offensive Player of the Year, Dakota Leonard the Defensive Player of the Year, and Nick Rizzo was honored by his peers as the MIAC Coach of the Year. St. Catherine's Jaidyn Richter was selected as the Rookie of the Year.

The Gusties finished sixth in the conference with a 4-4-3 record (9-5-5 overall), their second consecutive nine-win season, advancing to the MIAC Playoffs for the first time since 2021 where they fell to eventual runners-up Saint Mary's in the quarterfinals.
