BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Izzy Quick (5th, Brooklyn Park, Minn.) was named the MIAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Nov. 25. 

Quick collected double digit rebounds for the third time in four games in the Gusties 56-44 victory over UW-River Falls on Wednesday. Quick hauled in 11 boards, 10 of which came on the defensive end of the court. She chipped in a steal, a block, a pair of assists, and six points. She drew three fouls and shot 4-for-4 from the line. Her efforts helped the team limit its opponent to less than 50 points for the third time this season.

This is Quick's second honor of the season, as she was also recognized as the Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 11. Her 8.5 rebounds per game lead the MIAC so far this season. The Gusties lead the MIAC and rank 21st in NCAA Division III in scoring defense, allowing just 48.8 points per game this season, all against WIAC teams. 

The No. 10 Gusties finally return home Monday afternoon, hosting Colorado College for their home opener at Gus Young Court.
