NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Region honorees on Tuesday and four Gustavus women were selected to the North Region Team.
Megan Geraets earned All-Region in three events. Geraets owns the top times in the region in the 200-meter at 24.58 and the 400-meter at 56.74. She is also fourth in the region in the long jump with a leap of 5.65 meters. Geraets qualified for the 200 and long jump at the upcoming NCAA Championships.
Kate Carlson joins Geraets as All-Region in the 200-meter with the region's third best time of 24.82. She also earned All-Region distinction in the 60-meter with a time of 7.74, good for fifth in the North.
Ally Rakow picked up All-Region honors in the high jump, with a fifth-best mark of 1.63 meters. Meanwhile,
Madi Kes added the fourth best performance in the triple jump (11.72 meters).
The top five individuals in each event earn All-Region distinction.
