BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Teddy Kaste (Sr., Apple Valley) was named the MIAC Men's Golfer of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 3. 

Kaste picked up the first tournament win of his career over the weekend, taking first at the Augsburg Invite to help the Gusties win the tournament. On Saturday, Kaste shot a three-under 69 with five birdies, including four in a row. He added three more on Sunday, shooting an even 69-75-144 to take first in the field. This is the senior's first Athlete of the Week honor.

The Gustie "A" team took first with a plus-12 300-300-600, nine shots better than UW-Eau Claire in second. Saint John's took third with a 617, while the Gustavus "B" team finished fourth with a 310-310-620.

The No. 25 nationally-ranked men's golf team will compete at Bethel's Minnesota Classic next weekend at Pioneer Creek in Maple Plain.
