COLFAX, Wis. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men's cross country team competed in the NCAA DIII North Region Championships on Saturday at the Whitetail Golf Course. The Gusties placed 17
th out of the field of 31 competing regional teams with a score of 477.
Nick Brauer led Gustavus in the regional, placing 55
th overall out of the field of 218 runners with a time of 26:05.8.
Will Janzen had the second-best Gustie time at 26:19.9 to finish 71
st overall.
Evan Pouliot followed shortly after at 26:29.0 to place 76
th overall.
Caden Riga (28:00.1) and
Matthew Berge (28.01.1) rounded out the top five for the Gusties at 139
th and 140
th respectively.
Soren Sackreiter (28:19.9) and
Ethan Cox (28.29.3) had the sixth and seventh times for Gustavus, taking 148
th and 159
th overall.
UW-La Crosse won the regional with 30 points. The runner-up was UW-Stevens Point with 110 points.
