BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Jake Schmitt of the Gustavus Adolphus College men's basketball team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Schmitt led the Gusties to a 95-80 win over Saint John's with 24 points on 8-for-11 (72.7%) shooting while going 5-for-8 (62.5%) from beyond the arc. The junior also had three steals, three assists, and three rebounds to help Gustavus improve to 7-1 overall and remain undefeated in the MIAC at 3-0.
Up next for Gustavus is a road trip to Indianola, Iowa to take on the Simpson College Storm on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m.
