SAINT PETER, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus College is the host of the 2025 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Division III National Championships to take place March 22 at Gus Young Court.
The NCGA announced its team and individual qualifiers Sunday, March 9.
"We are so excited to welcome the other 16 Division III NCGA programs to Saint Peter and show them what makes our campus so special," said Gustavus gymnastics Head Coach
Aryn DeGrood '09. "We are looking forward to the Division III National Championship returning to Saint Peter for the first time since 1999. It's a big undertaking, but we look forward to putting on a fantastic event, and it's wonderful to get to share our sport with a bigger audience and hopefully create some new fans of Division III gymnastics."
It's been 24 seasons since Gustavus hosted the NCGA National Championship in Saint Peter. The 1999 squad finished as national runners-up, led by the performances of Katie Kortuem '00 HOF '15, Michelle Pekel '02, Molly Nemes '01 HOF '16, and Sara McKiernan '00, who all earned All-America honors. Gustavus boasts eight national titles, with the most recent in 1994. The Gusties claimed five in a row from 1990-94, with the 1991 championship earned at home.
Competition will begin at 2 p.m. at Gus Young Court in the Lund Center, featuring teams from UW-Oshkosh, SUNY-Brockport, UW-La Crosse, SUNY-Cortland, UW-Whitewater, and Rhode Island College. A total of 28 individuals from 10 other institutions, including Gustavus's
