SAINT PETER and MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -Â No. 25 Gustavus men's tennis rolled to a couple shutout victories over MIAC opponents on Saturday. The Gusties started the day at home with a 9-0 win over St. Olaf at the Swanson Tennis Center, followed by a 9-0 win at Macalester, improving to 11-9 overall and 5-0 in the MIAC.Â

Playing as partners for the first time this season,
Tyler Haddorff and
Takura Mhwandagara started the match with a quick 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Dominik Knutson and
Marco Siviero then earned an 8-3 win at No. 1, and the sweep was completed at No. 3 with an 8-5 win by
Noah Hakim and
Owen Skanse, who improved to 8-3 overall as partners.Â
Hakim made quick work at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win and Haddorff ensued with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2. Mhwandagara also won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win for Siviero at No. 1.
Rafael de Camargo Costa won a third set breaker 10-4 after going 6-1, 2-6 in the first two, and
Ali Derbani finished off the match with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win at No. 6.Â

Siviero and Knutson earned their second doubles win of the day, 8-3, at the top spot, followed by an 8-3 win for
Josh Christensen and
Taona Mhwandagara at No. 2. Costa and
Luke Fridinger then secured the doubles sweep with an 8-5 win at No. 3.Â
The Gusties then won all six singles matches in straight sets. From the top, the lineup went Christensen, Knutson, Costa, Fridinger,
Taona Mhwandagara, and
Quinn Monson.Â
Gustavus has two nationally-ranked opponents next weekend, starting with No. 18 UW-Whitewater on Saturday and then No. 2 Chicago on Sunday.Â
