SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Gustavus distance runners competed in the 5000-meter Thursday night at the Macalester Rider Bolstorff, and
Molly Liston highlighted the evening by winning the women's race. Liston crossed the line in a personal best 17:52.08, which was 16 seconds ahead of the next runner. Liston's time was just six seconds shy of the school record.Â
Sydney Hagen was next for the Gustie women, taking fourth in 18:57.37 and
Elsey Hagen took 19th in 20:46.85.Â
In the men's race,
Will Janzen led the Gusties with a sixth place finish, crossing the line in a personal best 15:26.04, which was 23 seconds behind the winner.
Evan Pouliot was next for Gustavus, finishing in 10th 15:31.93.Â
Soren Sackreiter took 27th in 16:02.82,
Jonah Johnson took 40th in 16:25.91, and
Ethan Cox took 45th in 16:47.99.Â
Gustavus continues competition Saturday by hosting the Drake Alternative.Â
