MANKATO, Minn. - With the conference meet just over a week away, Gustavus track & field continued to fine tune its craft at the MSU-Mankato Maverick Open #1 on Wednesday.
Olivia Duncan and
Bella Sutch had season-best throws in the discus, taking seventh and 10th, respectively, with marks of 141-10 and 132-01. Duncan's mark of 43.25 meters ranks 34th in the Division III this season.
Lili Guy finished fourth in the triple jump at 37-5.0 and
Alli Graff took eighth in the pole vault, clearing 10-10.0.
On the track,
Molly Liston ran the 5000-meter in 19:22.70 for sixth place.
Ella Kienitz took 10th in the 400-meter with a time of 1:02.68.
Laura Thauvin took 12th in the 100-hurdles at 15.83.
Isabel Fynboh finished 12th in the 800-meter, crossing the line in 2:28.98.
Allison Stacy ran the 100-meter in 12.79 for 13th place.
For the men,
Nick Brauer finished runner up in the 1500-meter with a season best time of 3:57.71.
Carson Roehl was not far behind in fourth place with a personal best 4:01.45.
Zechariah Kyoore ran the 100-meter in 11.00-flat, taking third place.
Sam Schulze led the Gusties in the 400-hurdles, placing third in 55.66 for a personal best.
Tyler Smith took fifth in the 800-meter at 1:57.75.
Soren Sackreiter finished the 5000-meter in 16:23.11 for eighth place.
In the field,
Joe Ream took fourth in the pole vault, clearing a personal best 14-0.5 and
Ben Wynia took seventh in the long jump with a mark of 20-10.0.
Gustavus begins competition at the MIAC Outdoor Multi Championships tomorrow at Carleton.
